December 2007 – with the partnership of the Organization of Voluntarism “mettiamoci in gioco” has been founded “la Compagnia di Piero”, formed by 10 actors who suffers from Down’s syndrome. It wants to be a stable company with the aim of expressing and transmitting solidarity messages.
The beginning with the work “oltre il limite” (over the limit), directed by Monica Felloni is the first step that drives the excitement of the two organizations, not only for the success obtained, but also because they stay together with special people that makes them feel a different dimension of life, giving that possibility of thinking completely absent in our everyday life. Over the limit: a theme: the flight, and a life that identifies with this theme and that found complete realization in it: the life of Angelo D’Arrigo.
Angelo D’Arrigo is a possible alternative to a utilitarian and anthropocentric vision of sport, science and technology, a real example of how this disciplines can find their deep dimension in the ecologic and social engagement. The example of his life is a source of self-confidence for the possibility of everyone to realize his deepest wishes and his personal transformation from passive user to creator of positive realities.
The work developed the poetic nature proper of the experience lived by D’Arrigo, and with reference to his texts, the young actors act on the stage in a full spirit of freedom, inspired by the sense of wideness and spatiality, lightness, speed, patience and passion for the flight that D’Arrigo embodies.
