POMPEO OLIVA
Pompeo Oliva, was born in Messina, has always been tied up the world of the theatre. In the 70s was the President of the Associazione Teatro Struttura, which has the worth to make the contemporary European theatre well-know to the world. Then, for more than ten years, he has been one of the members of the Council of Taormina Arte Committee. He has been also the Supervisor and the President of the Ente Teatro in Messina, undertaking in the realization of a deep activity of production and scheduling of theatre. Now he is a professor in the Department of Theatre at the University of Messina.
In 2006 he was designated as the Artistic Director of Taormina Arte Theatre.
This nomination has been renewed for 2007 and 2008.
