Damiano Giuranna conducts the World Youth Orchestra and Daniel Strabawa on the violin,Alexander Rudin on the cello, Riccardo Guranna on the piano, perform music by L. van Beethoven and E. Elgar. The World Youth Orchestra gathers 70 young musicians aged 16 to 25 years old, the best scholars from the most prestigious Conservatories and Academies of Music in the world. The concert in Taormina is part of the Unicef project "Yes for children".

On 21st September, Riccardo Muti conducted the Scala Philharmonic Orchestra at the Conference Hall. The concert has been organised to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Taormina Arte and the takings will be donated to charity. The programme included the Symphony from "Viaggio a Reims" by Rossini, "London" by Haydn, and the Fifth by Ciaikovskij.
