Uto Ughi

Uto Ughi is born in Busto Arsizio in 1944. At the early age of 7 he astounds his audience playing the "Ciaccona second suite D minor" by Bach and some "Capricci" by Paganini. At the age of 12 the critics already consider him an artistically and technically mature performer. He specialised in the study of the violin under George Enescu's guidance, Menhuin's teacher.

In 1978 he was elected effective academic of Santa Cecilia. He founded a festival "A Homage to Venice", which scope is to gather funds for the restoration of artistic monuments.
